Iv’e owned this very stove ( Black Matte´) for a third season now. This is by far the best thing i could have done for the house and the family. We love it. If you want / need a stove thats going to perform when you need it to , and be low to no maintenance , this is the stove to get. In fact I’ve had to do nothing to this stove other then clean the ashes. I would say one thing , this stove is likely underrated as far as it’s heating range. It’s a monster. The furnace set on 62F of course , never once ran in the last three seasons. I do however keep the fan circulating on a schedule which helps to clean the air as it would any other time , as well as move the air around and circulate the warmth from the stove throughout the house.
In my 15th year with this stove as our only source of heat in a 2800 sq ft house in Maine, the smoke shelf needs replacing this year. Until now I have only had to replace the door gaskets.
Awesome wood stove!
Does anyone know if this can be converted to natural gas? If so, how and how much? Thanks.
Sorry about that. I thought I was posting on the propane stove description.
What propane stove do you have? Most can be converted back to natural gas with a conversion kit. Let me know and I’ll see what can be done
